ROSA LOVES: Clothing With a Purpose
April 16, 2008 – 7:53 am
Ok, I have to admit… I’m a sucker for unique T-Shirts. Especially shirts that have a good message. You know the ones that everytime you wear them people say, “cool shirt…what does that mean?” So you can imagine my excitement when I ran across ROSA LOVES, a company that makes shirts based on individual stories of people in need.
Each shirt has a need attached to it such as an irrigation system for an orphanage in Tanzania, a new walker for a beloved community member, or the rebuilding of a grandmother’s burned down house. The tees are very intricately designed with a graphic representation of the story on the front and the actual written version printed on the inside chest so the wearer can keep it close to his heart.
The best part of all is each tee is printed on a limited edition basis so that the only make as many of each shirt as they would need to sell to meet that need. Once a need is met the shirt is discontinued and a new one with a new need is made. ROSA LOVES is truly an inspiring example of using creativity to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
